Who would have thought it?
Ok, I am no JK Rowling, or some other famous author but its a start and a new beginning in life.
For a long time I have wanted to write a book about some segments of my life that I am proud of. It’s been inside me but I never really got around to doing it.
I used to think no one would be interested and maybe no one is.
But since being coached by Ray Higdon my confidence in my business and me has improved massively.
The coaching has given me the courage to put down on paper the things I have achieved in my life.
Not to brag, more to celebrate. AND more importantly, to give hope to other people, YOU, that you can make a change in your life if you really want to.
The book is called:
“Turning Poverty To Success” – From pennies in my purse to living my dream traveling the world.
The title is exactly what the book is about. I really was in poverty, up to my eyes in debt and at times, worried how I was going to feed my kids.
Roll the camera forward and my husband and I own a home in Portugal and England. My two children are living mortgage free and as a family, we have all reaped the benefits of my journey.
The book tells how it was for me when I was a single parent, struggling to make ends meet.
It goes on to describe how I took steps to get out of poverty. Plus the risks I took when I began a business.
My business success was created offline.
I had the opportunity, alongside others, to begin an agency in Yorkshire, England where I lived.
It was one of the best decisions of my life. I could write a book about that alone.
However, the latter part of the book tells of my journey online and the things that have to happen for that to be successful as well.
The opportunities for ANYONE to begin a business online now are awesome. They just weren’t around years ago, when my kids were younger.
If my book helps any entrepreneur, young mother, men, women ANYONE to keep going then it will have done its job.
Sometimes when you are down and thinking things will never change I want to encourage you to know that with grit and hard work, and a thirst to learn more, YOU CAN do it.
You can change things in your life for the better.
The Forward, Written By Richard Matharoo ( My sponsor and friend)
Lynda first came to me back when I was a personal trainer many moons ago to help her train for the Three Peak challenge, three-day event where on consecutive days the climber ascends three large mountains here in the UK.
Lynda wasn’t into fitness, liked a drink (not too much or too little, just the right fondness) and told her husband Chris she should eat more chips (fries to my American friends) because her trainer had told her carbs were important. But I knew from the straight forward manner and self-confidence Lynda stated that ‘complete the challenge she would’. I knew there was no doubt this was a lady who said what she meant and meant what she said…refreshing in our modern society.
Such was the pattern of our relationship for a good few years…Lynda would set her goals, I’d tell her to do something or give up something, she’d tell me to p**s off and eventually we’d meet in the middle and get it done, lol.
When I entered network and Online Marketing around five years ago, Lynda was top of my list to bring into my team.
Successful, driven, honest, hard-working, well-respected and well connected.
Of course, she took action and jumped in with her usual vigour that I’d grown to and still respect.
But it was what followed that both surprised and brought about most respect when thinking about our relationship and writing this foreword. Lynda struggled with many aspects of home business, for some time.
Now, financially, she didn’t need to master this industry, but master it she has. Through wanting to help others, through self-determination, action, persistence and from true Yorkshire grit.
Lynda has grown into not only the fantastic lady I truly value as my friend but a knowledgeable and successful team member and online network marketer.
It’s facing and overcoming this struggle and her powerful story (which you’ll learn as you read on) that I know gives Lynda an incredibly unique position to help you, the home business owner reading this book.
You’ll laugh, learn, grow and love this book, just the same as I have from meeting Lynda.
To Your Success!

You don’t have to be Super Human
I am an ordinary woman. I am not someone who posts lavish pictures of my lifestyle like some of the so -called “gurus” do. I also didn’t plan on becoming an author and writing a book.
All I ever wanted was to be in a position where I didn’t have to worry about paying bills any more.
If the washing machine broke down, I didn’t want to worry if I could afford another one.
Being able to go to the supermarket and fill the basket without worrying about paying at the end was something I dreamed about.
Ordinary things in life that can cause us such stress can be got rid of but we have to make our minds up to actually do something about it.
Its not easy.
Nothing in life is.
Anyone who you see as successful will have gone through some kind of hardship to get where they are now.
If you make your mind up to make changes, whatever they may be, you will do everything in your power to make it work.
It’s important thing is to believe you can.
Beginning a business using the internet is possible for anyone and I hope my book will inspire you to believe its possible for YOU. Its exciting to be able to call myself an author, and something I would not have thought possible at one point in my life.
